Our Group Structure
There are many jobs and roles required to support a Scout Group. The tables below show the structure of our Group and you can find more information on each role in the section "About Hayling Scouts / Job Descriptions"
Our Sections
Within Hayling Scouts we operate 7 sections each with its own leadership team.

Our Executive
Supporting these uniformed sections, we have an Executive Committee who ensure that the facilities, equipment and finances are available for the Leaders to ensure we can offer the best scouting possible. The Executive Committee comprises the following key roles:-

In 2007 we have established a programme called "Looking Outwards" that is looking at developing Scouting further on Hayling. As part of this programme we are changing the name of our Group Executive to the Group Development Committee.
Our Support Roles
In the year 2000 we established a programme called "Beyond 2002", the objective being to identify and introduce other roles that would help the running of the group and that would support the leaders to enable them to focus on providing the fun and active programmes that are the basis of Scouting.

We are very lucky in having the support of many parents and friends for the roles listed above and also helping with our fund raising events, our section activities, staffing bases or by offering transport.
Our Group Council
It is not only the young person that joins the 3rd Hayling Scout Group. Parents automatically become members of the Group Council (no choice I am afraid!!). The full council meets just once a year, at our "Annual Awards and Presentations" evening normally held in June each year.
