Boys and Girls can join Cubs from the age of 8, either from Beavers or as their first taste of Scouting. Cub Scouts are placed in "Sixes" of different colours with each group having their own "Sixer" and "Seconder", normally from the older Cubs who learn about leadership and responsibility as part of their Cub Scouting.
The Cub Scout Programme extends that of the Beaver section with activities appropriate to their age and abilities. Cubs also Camp, sleeping in both tents and indoor accommodation.
