H007 Jamboree a Huge Success

Report Date 10/08/07

After the H007 Jamboree, 23 Cubs, Scouts and Leaders from Ghana returned to Hayling Island for a few days of home hospitality. Home Hospitality is a common place event for International visitors and gives them a chance to spenda few extra days in the Country they are visiting.

During the week, our friends from Ghana explored Hayling Island, went to the Millenium Tower and the "old ships" in Portsmouth (see photo), played football with some Hayling lads who happened to be in the Park at the same time, attended and helped at the Three Churches Fete and ended their week with a BBQ along with members of the Hayling Group. Jacko, one of our leaders also organised an Archery session for them, this along with the train journey being first time adcentures for all of the Cubs and Scouts!

The feedback was fantastic and clearly they enjoyed their stay with us on Hayling.
