What is the Active Support Crew

The Active Support Crew is the name we have given to anyone over the age of 18 who does not wish to be a formal member of the Scout Association but would like to help on an occasional basis. The help could be in the form of transport, putting up tents, helping with an activity in the HQ or in camp, helping at one of our events or just helping!

The idea is that members of the service crew would be kept informed of our events and also the details of any help required and anyone willing and available would let us know and we guarantee you will be used.

Members of the support crew will be able to join in many of our activities and events, for example our Fireworks Display or some Fellowship meetings but will only be able to make use of the Scout Association facilities when part of a Group or Fellowship activity.

Our working assumption will be that members of the Support Crew will help us when they can.

The commitment for this team will obviously vary but can be as little as a couple of hours a year.
