Oh What a Camp!
"The best Group Camp Ever" was a comment from one of the Leaders, "A chance to behave like Kids - Great!" was a comment made by a number of Parents who joined us and "Wow" was often heard by the younger people taking part. See the back page for some pictures.

Top Awards for Cubs
Alec Clapp, Megan Hick and Jake Carpenter of Jupiter Pack received their Chief Scout's Silver Awards during one of their meetings..

A week later, Harry Edmonds, Mark Dubarry and Owen Cranstone from Saturn Pack received theirs.

To complete their awards the six Cubs had to complete a number of challenge badges including Health & Fitness, Community, Outdoor and the Promise Challenge which includes a personal project. The awards were presented by Ian Hawke, who congratulated the Cubs and thanked the Leaders and Parents for their important part in these achievements.

Thanks Badge for Jeanette Lincoln
It was a real pleasure for me to present Jeanette Lincoln with a "Thanks Badge" at the end of our Birthday Camp. This badge is presented to supporters of Scouting who make a significant contribution to our movement and Jeanette once again took on the responsibility for the catering of our camp. Thank You Jeanetter.

Explorers help at HIBC BBQ
12 Explorers and Leaders helped with the Businesssmen's Club BBQ. Having spent Thursday and Friday evenings helping clean and set up the stalls and barn area, the Saturday Car Parking was more of a challenge than normal due to the continuous rain. They still enjoyed themselves, which may have something to do with the food!. Meryck Marston of the Businessmen's Club was full of praise for their efforts.
