General Information

The 3rd Hayling Scout Group was formed in 1929 and today has over 200 youth members supported by over 30 adults.

We currently have 7 sections who all meet weekly in our Scout HQ:

1. 2 Beaver Scout Colonies (Aspen and Redwood) for ages 6 to 8
2. 3 Cub Scout Packs (Jupiter, Mars and Saturn) for ages 8 to 10 1/2
3. 2 Scout Troops (Eagles and Lions) for ages 10 1/2 to 14
4. 1 Explorer Scout Unit (Nexus) for ages 14 to 18

Group Events

Each year we hold a group event where every member of the group takes part in various activities. This allows everyone to get to meet and take part in activities with members of the other sections. We alternate between a weekend camp and day activity for this, with camps having taken place in the New Forest, Shedfield and on Hayling Island and the day activities taking place on Hayling, or at locations such as Fort Purbrook.
