Wood Badge for Andrea

It is not only the young members of the group who learn new skills. As Leaders we have to undertake appropriate training in 18 areas. The training modules cover First Aid, Child Protection, skills such as camps and programmes and interpersonal skills such as leadership styles, working with adults and managing teams.
When a leader completes this training and has demonstrated these skill in a practical way, they are recommended for the Wood Badge which consists of 2 beads on a leather thong.
Andrea Heath, the leader of Jupiter Pack was presented with her Wood Badge by Ian Stott the District Commissioner for Scouting in Havant who congratulated her on this achievement and thanked her for all she is doing to support the young people of Hayling Island.
