Awards for Explorer Scouts

At the end of their Casino evening, the Explorers of Hayling's Nexus unit were joined by Group Scout Leader Ian Hawke and District Commissioner Ian Stott.
First on the agenda was to invest Jacob, Jack and Jason into the Unit. Jacob and Jason are new to Scouting whilst Jack started as a Beaver 7 years ago.
Ian Stott then presented Chief Scout's Platinum Awards to Rosemary Harrison and Alistair Harris, whilst Terry Brinnen, our D of E instructor presented them with the Duk of Edinburgh Bronze Awards.
Kathryn Lincoln, Zack Allgood and Liam Holden each received the Chief Scouts Diamond Award and the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Awards.
On presenting these awards, Ian congratulated all 5 on their achievements and thanked the leaders and parents for their support.
