£685 Profit from Books

Our latest book sale made a profit of £685 for Group Funds. 300 Adults plus a number of children came along to the URC Hall to browse and purchase from the 8000 books available. We estimate about 1200 books were purchased with an equal split between fiction and non-fiction.
This means that since September we have raised over £1000 from second hand books and in 2009 over £1700 - a tremendous result and a great return from the efforts of Phil Blosse and the many people who help us in different ways with the sales.
Thank you to all those who help and also to the many Islanders who come along to buy the books.
