Scouts Complete Expedition Challenge

Joshua Haines, Matthew Kenny, Michael Kenny and Stephen Way completed their Expedition Challenge badge last weekend. The challenge requires the four Scouts from Lion Troop to plan and execute a 15 mile hike over 2 days, camping out overnight and to be totally independent which means carrying all of their equipment and food with them.
They chose a route in Ashdown Forest in West Sussex camping out at the Broadstone Warren Scout campsite overnight. They began early on the Saturday morning in bright sunshine albeit still a little crisp from the earl;y morning frost and then spent the night and day 2 of the hike in the wind and the rain.
Well done to the four scouts on completing this challenge who can be seen below at the start of their adventure and of course before the rains set in!
